Tom Pitts is Senior Vice President, Talent Management and an Executive Coach with Right Management’s Florida/Caribbean Region.

Coaching and Consulting Experience

Tom brings clients more than 30 years of experience as a senior human resources and business executive. He draws on expertise gained in leadership positions with Fortune 500 companies, where he was responsible for supporting a range of business environments, including technology, consulting, manufacturing, supply chain, retail and commercial sales. He assists Right Management’s clients in executive coaching, career management strategies, development of innovative solutions, effective change management and optimizing individual and organizational potential.

Tom guides clients in assessing leadership potential within their organization and provides Leader Coaching, designing strategic initiatives with a highly focused approach. He has coached Fortune 500 executives and C-level decision makers in a wide variety of industries, such as aerospace, medical, law firms, recreation and leisure and the public sector. A veteran executive coach, he has enabled clients to make significant measureable gains in interpersonal and operational effectiveness, through his “outcome-based” process and his highly developed coaching skills.

Business/Organizational Leadership Experience

After a distinguished career as a senior HR leader with IBM, Tom served in a key executive position with an international management consulting firm.  Prior to joining Right Management in 2005, he was Vice President, Human Resources for Office Depot for seven years. At Office Depot, Tom was responsible for providing tactical and strategic HR support to a wide variety of business units across North America. In that role, he was a key business partner to colleagues on the senior executive team and was recognized for his accomplishments in employee relations practices, retention, talent development, and design of performance-based incentive programs that improved the engagement and productivity of thousands of employees.

Education and Training

Tom majored in economics and finance at the University of Hartford and has certifications from a number of executive and human resource programs, including the Wharton School of Business and the University of Miami. His professional and community volunteer affiliations have included service on the University of Miami Advisory Board, South Florida Human Resources Roundtable, March of Dimes, The Center for Group Counseling and the United Way.
