In 1979, Tom Shea founded Florida’s first career transition firm which became one of the original founding units of Right Management. The firm, now with over 300 offices worldwide, provides a full range of organizational consulting, executive coaching, leadership development, and career transition services. Right has been named the 5th Best Small Business by Forbes Magazine, the 16th Fastest Growing U.S. Company by Fortune Magazine and named Human Resources Business of the Year by the South Florida Business Journal. And now Right is a subsidiary of Manpower, Inc.
Tom serves on several boards including local Chambers and the Florida Chamber of Commerce, and is also a member of the United Nations Business Council. Tom has been called upon as an expert panelist by major news organizations and has appeared on CNN, ABC, CBS and NBC.
Tom is a Director for the Miami Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Tom also serves on the Business School Advisory Boards at Florida State University, Nova Southeastern University, and Barry University.
A Paul Harris Fellow, Tom is a recipient of the Vision Broward Award and the United Way’s Corporate Citizen Award. He has been named “Father of the Year” by the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and received the Diamond Executive Award by the South Florida Business Journal. The Sun-Sentinel presented him the Excalibur Award as Business Leader of the Year. |
